I figured it was only a matter of time for the Ballantyne Backyard burger after I visited them for lunch several months ago and they didn't have half the food items on their menu!

Sunny, very funny! I have always thought their name seemed a bit counter intuitive.

No big surprise...I have a feeling Backyard Burger had more to do w/ the food & service than the economy. Firebirds had a 2 hour wait last weekend!

Steve & Barry's (Sardis Rd North) has "going out of business" signs up. No surprise there -- all US S&B stores are closing, I think.

Saltgrass steakhouse in Pineville is gone. Popped over for lunch while Christmas shopping this weekend and it's dark. When did that happen?

The coffee store that was next to the Tijuana Flats restaurant in Pineville on Hwy 51 is also gone. Their parent company is the owner of that strip mall.

The Quiznos in Gateway village uptown closed. Figures since the service was extremely slow.
