O'Shea's Irish Pub in the Fountains Shopping Center in South Charlotte (Ardrey Kell & Tom Short) is closed. We were there about a month ago; tonite doors locked and closed up tight.

I can't recall if I posted this before, but does anyone know what happened to Interiors and when/why it closed? I recently went to (finally) check it out only to find the place shuttered.

Eddies Place in Torringdon next to Earth Fare's last day is Monday. I went in for lunch on Friday and found out. They had trouble renewing their lease, it wasnt a case of lack of business from my understanding. Me and my family were there about once a week so I kept to my thing of supporting local / non chains.

Too bad, it was a great place. I won't drive to their other location in Cotswold it's too far

Looks like Barnes & Noble won the book war of South Park.

Wow, I just saw the Joseph-Beth store isn't even going to hang on through Christmas, but is closing at the end of this month.

It was just a matter of time for this situation -- three mega-bookstores all within a few blocks of each other. I wish Joseph-Beth had won, just because it was on the mall grounds, and thus didn't require an extra trip when shopping at the mall.

I agree, plus it was a wonderful book store. I do love Borders, but I go to the one in Stonecrest b/c it's a little easier access; however, I'm always sad to see any bookstore close.

Wouldn't it be more prudent, and in keeping w/Whole Foods's "eco" image, to utilize one of these buildings instead of building a new place?
