Sad, another mom & pop defeated by the big box stores...

Charlotte Camera was another good shop we lost a few years ago.

Did the verizon wireless store on 74 in Matthews shut down?

I noticed all the outdoor sign lettering was scraped off....

I'm pretty sure it moved down to the newer shopping center close to Costco. Could be wrong about that, but I think I saw it there.

I drove by yesterday and it looks like Tijuana Flats is gone, too. Is that a recent closing? I don't get by there too often, so it could have been closed for a while.

I notice the brand new one in Huntersville was closed but it could been the Holidays.

I saw on the news expect 751 retail closings this year

We were at the Tijuana Flats in Huntersville recently. The cashier was telling customers that the corporate offices were planning to close all of the restaurants. She mentioned that there were some folks inside the company who were going to try to buy out some of the stores and re-open them.

The location near Highland Creek has a sign that they are closed for the Holidays, to visit Huntersville. Havent checked since before Christmas though.
