Someone I talked to, before going to Terrace myself lol, told me Dec 12 is their planned opening date.

To a PP: I hope your MM experience was an off day too.

It's about two thirds torn down now. I saw that the Sonic/old DMV building near Idlewild/Independence is completely torn down, and the convenience store across the street from it is closed and boarded up. That certainly doesn't help out the locals.

There's a BHPH car dealer across from Bascom's corner that has built a facade of wood for some reason.

The Chinese bus service in front of the old BJ's location has been running for a while now.

Are they closing or remodeling? I thought I saw somewhere they were going to redo the store.

And in related news, water is wet.

Heard a pretty funny joke recently (okay maybe it's not that funny):

"I used to work at a video store, it was great. Man, if you've never worked in a video store before...you never will."

yep. already closed. Ate there once just after they opened and thought the menu was too limited. Food was average in quality. I didn't like how they used wait service for such a small place. Should have been more casual to garner more lunch business that just wanted a quick bite.

I saw today that Harper's on Woodlawn and their "ToGo" are closed. I'm betting that they've been gone for a while since there are obviously long established businesses in their place, but I seldom get to that side of town.

I ate at McKoys. Good vittles, except for the country style steak. Not my favorite food.
