With every additional college credit you earn do you receive more money over your normal base pay each year. Where I am for every 15 credits you earn you receive 1500 or more dollars on top of your normal annual pay increase. The more credits the more $$$$. Does it work the same way there?
Thanks>

yeah, they don't really do it that way here. http://www.ncpublicschools.org/fbs/finance/salary/ counselors are on a teachers pay scale. you need to come from a 60 credit program (or a 48 credit program and have the additional 12 credits). so school counselors fall under "advanced masters". we SHOULD make as much as school psychologists, but we don't. advocacy goes a long way and we have a long way to go. national boards are one way to make more $.
