I agree with the problem of traffic reports. I listen in case they say there is a major back up, but if they just mention an accident, I ignore it. It is usually cleared up in a bit. And if they say Fairview and Sharon, they don't say which direction or which road so I take a chance.
This morning I actually heard a traffic report say how long it would take to get from one exit to another on 485. That was more help than saying, 'usual back-ups'

I don't listen to traffic reports anymore. they always seem to be not accurate or not updated frequently enough. In NY there was 1010 WINS; they gave you traffic every 10 minutes (does anyone remember that fake ticker tape machine in the background? " You give us 22 minutes...We'll give you the world"). I remember sitting in traffic on the Belt Parkway for 2 hours and hearing the traffic 10x mention every thoroughfare except the Belt parkway or I would be sitting in traffic for an hour and hear that it's a smooth ride!!! It would absolutely raise my blood pressure and want me to go ballistic!!! So when I moved here, I just go with the flow now. I don't even know what station has traffic reports.

^^^ Nope. I heard there was an accident at Fairview and Colony and I almost considered an alternate route. But when I got there, there was no sign of any accident at all, and this was five minutes after I heard the report.
