And yes I am very satisfied with the quality of the KB Home.

All of the builders in there are track homes FYI. So do not expect anything custom.

I refuse to get on 160 on the NC side at 5pm. It's one lane, backed up, and if there is an accident, you may as well pull over and take a nap.

Well, if you say so. But I worked uptown for years with people who were moving further and further out. Way out in Union County, and they'd tell us they had a 20 minute commute. Or up in Concord and Harrisburg. I'm not bitter. I live in South Charlotte and work in Ballantyne. By the way...my commute is just over 10 miles and goes the opposite way of traffic and it still takes me just over 15 minutes.

Suit yourself man. It's been backed up, like I said, once. Whereas 77 is backed up every day.

I will be home getting the mail while your sitting on 77.

Why would I make this up guys?

A buddy I work with also sold his house out by Stevens Mill Rd and purchased a McCarr. He also now enjoys a 15-20 minute commute. Do I need him to post here as well??

Yeah my commute from Indian Trail/Brandon Oaks was Hell...45 minutes to an hour each way..

74 or 485 were the only options to get uptown, and both those are horrible...with or without school.

I cannot even fathom moving back out there. I am totally spoiled now..
lol

Honestly my average commute time is only 30 minutes for 20 miles. If I leave right at 5pm, it will take 40 minutes. if I leave at 4:30, I'm home by 5. I live in Fort Mill and work in SW Charlotte at Tyvola and Yorkmont. Therefore, I get off at exit 2 and avoid all of the congestion on 77 since I am only on it from exit 85 in SC to exit 2 in Charlotte.

Then yeah you should not take 160 and stick with 77. Totally. I like the Baxter Village area. Very nice stuff.

Anyway this is a Berewick thread though.

I will also be looking for a job. I am a hair stylist so if anyone knows of an salons near the berewick area i'd appreciate it. Also my fiance' is in the data communications industry looking to do work with the local telephone company. Any leads for him would be a plus.
