Any changes to graduation requirements for CMS schools? (Charlotte: high school, work)

Has there been any more discussions on changes to the high school graduation requirements?

I know that they began this year with a new exit project. The students will have to present a research paper in front of a panel of judges. She also had to find an outside mentor for her topic of choice. Things are still fresh, so I may be missing some of the details. I do know that my daughter has to make up for three years of work in this one year since it was recently implemented. Although, she attended school last year--they just changed the policy.

hi arussell - I'm confused about your post - the senior exit essay has been around in Char Meck schools for at least 10 years? Every senior works on one in their final year and presents it to a volunteer panel during the spring. Are you saying there has been something new added to this project recently?

The senior exit project isn't limited to CMS, it is a statewide requirement.
