Hey, I'm new to the area and wanted to go out to eat at a romantic restaurant in Union/Charlotte area that offers all types of cuisine and has a fancier atmosphere. Pehaps one where you have to dress it up a little bit. Any suggestions would be great and the prices don't matter. TIA!

On Ardry Kell Rd near Rea Rd - 131 Main. This is one of the best meals I have had all year!!! They only serve fresh food - nothing has ever been frozen - their kitchen doesn't even have a freezer. Plus the desserts are made on site and are delicious. We went for our anniversary - it was very romantic and just the kind of atmosphere I think you are looking for
While not in Union county, my current favorites are both in Southpark:
Upstream - in Phillips Place (great seafood, definitely try the Sea Bass with Lobster Potstickers) Zebra - across from Southpark Mall (10 course tasting menu is a must-try ... probably the best value I've had in a tasting menu)
I tried Table in Ballantyne Village last weekend, and it was quite good as well, but not quite up to the other two I mentioned. If making the effort to dress up for dinner, I'd definitely go to Upstream or Zebra
Western union county does not have many great romantic restaurants because they cannot serve liquor so the really good restaurants don't come here. You have to go to the edge of Meck county.
