Moving to CLT from Los Angeles
Hi all...I am strongly considering relocating to Charlotte from Los Angeles this summer. I am a 31, single marketing professional. Any advice on where to look for apt. rentals and job leads? Big question, I know, but it's a big move! Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

We moved here from LA (Pasadena) this past year. My husband put his resume on Monster but ended up getting a head-hunter. He didn't have to pay him, his new company did....anyway, that was what got him the job (accounting.)
I have not gotten a job here yet, but jobs are plentiful in my field as well (education).
I think the job market here is pretty good from what I have seen.

Monster.com, Hotjobs.com and Charlotte.com seem to be good sources for job opportunities. Check Charlotteobserver.com for rental info.

Thanks for the suggestions. I am a marketing exec specializing in consumerism and branding. I think the headhunter is the way to go. As for apts., I am pretty flexible in terms of price. I was considering the Dilworth area, but wanted some feedback on areas that will be good for meeting people, are safe and have some character.
Thanks!
