Question Statesville or not?

I have done so many searches on houses in Statesville, and I am coming up with so many nice OLD houses. I am talking 1903, 1915. My family is lookinf for something new, so that when we buy we will have an energy efficiant home, and something that wont involve so much upkeep. Some of these homes look really nice, I would just be so afraid, but then they talk of how badly new homes are put up. We want to get down there over this summer, and I am trying to find a grouping of homes in Statesville, Mooresville, Mathews, Charlotte, Iredell County, etc. Of course there has to be good school for my ds and dd. Is Statesville full of all old houses if you dont want to spend over 175k?

Oh Thank You!!! We are looking for a house with the master on the main. At least 3bdrms, 2bth, at least 1600 sqft. We would rather not go over 150k, and I would like to be in a nice area for the kids, with nice schools, especially with my dd being in the Autism Spectrum. I see this one house over 2000 sf and a realtor says it just needs painting and carpeting throughout, but I have seen it drop 10k 2x. It is a 5bdrm master on main at 129,9. I don't know whats going on with the place;((

instead of trying these congested towns, you can try it out in Troutman. between statesville and mooresville. troutman has new small communities popping up everywhere, and is planning on construction of a Wal-mart, and a lowes with 50 retail developments around exit 42. I-77. no OLD homes, because Troutman is just now developing on the outskirts, and on the lake.

I'll give that a try, but is that still in Iredell County?
