Karaoke Contests in Charlotte? (best, venues, annual)

I know there is plenty of karaoke in Charlotte, but I'm wondering if anyone knows of annual or weekly contests at any particular venues?

Though many think of karaoke as either drunken fun or just annoying, there are a number of more serious karoke compeititons up north. Just wondering if the same thing exists locally or regionally.

Charlotte's Best Karaoke is planning a "massive" 2009 contest.

I also heard about some connected to Halloween events. That's about it. Seems like the sort of thing doine fairly low profile, or connected to other events.

Sad. It was a lucrative way to make some extra $$$ on the side back in NYC.

Wild wings s tryon on wedsday night sign in b4 11:00pm..its just draging 2 long from week 2 week..
