It's good for kids who live in areas where there ren't a lot of kids, and some parents think it's safer.
There are some. Lake Norman Mommies sponsored one, and I think churches do as well.

9:00 is my standard "turn off the porch light" time. It's our first year in this neighborhood, though, so we're not sure if we have enough candy. We've heard you can't have too much, so we have an obscene amount of candy. That way, if there are a ton of trick-or-treaters we're covered. If we don't have that many, we score the extras.

Thoughts?
When the six bags of candy run out....

LOL
Except I already know who you are! You're going to have to get a better disguise than not shaving! Also, you're at the whim of whatever candy my husband bought -- it was his job to go pick it up today!

LOL, that's what happened to us last year! It was our first year here and we didn't know what to expect. I think we only got about 4 bags, and the kids outnumbered it somewhere around 8:00. We were rationing toward the end It was way too close...

Hey, wait a minute! It's Friday night! I'm planning on making my rounds until at least 2 or 3 AM. All you folks around LKN, leave your porch lights on and I'll be stopping by. If you're out of candy, beer, booze, pizza, whatever will be just fine!

Reminds me of that Adam Sandler movie, Big Daddy where he goes in the guys back door and makes the old man give the kid his watch

Last year Halloween was on a Thursday and we had our first trick or treater at 6 pm and our last at 8pm. We expect things to be a go on a little later tonight. Lights out at 9 pm
