Haven't seen any comments on the Renaissance Festival. Went last weekend and it was a pleasant day. I was pleasantly surprised that it was so big. If anyone out there feels that there is nothing to do, go there for an outing. I believe that it goes on through the middle of November. There is plenty of beer.

We would go when it is in Wisconsin during the summer and loved it. We probably won't make it this year but it is something to look forward to next year! I love the turkey legs, my husband loved the garlic mushrooms. The food there is always good. I hope they have most of the same things here.

I had to fight from having a turkey leg. I really craved the beer and a turkey leg, but we went early and I knew that when I got home, I would fall asleep during the football game. But, the weather was fabulous.

Hubby and I went yesterday. It was warmer than we thought it would be (early forecasts were wrong!) but its always an enjoyable day. We didn't see much of the staged entertainment, we spent most of our time just wandering around and shopping. Lucky for us the price of gas has gone down! Its a long expensive drive from Morganton!

I went yesterday, and it was similar to the ones I've seen in Michigan and Ohio. I'm sure if I was in a group, we could find something for everyone. I'll probably do it next year, but may want to bring some people along.

Just something different to do. They have these things all over. I just enjoy the people watching. Not sure if I want to pay another $18 a person again next year though.

Still 2 more weekends left...if you go and like to catch the comedy acts, I recommend Ded Bob, The Tortuga Twins, and Zilch the "Tory Steller". The portabello mushroom sandwich is also recommended, though the turkey leg may be the best bargain!

Bandibadji how could you go and not have a turkey leg? You have more will power than I.

I actually have thought about that and ended up buying a package of pre-cooked turkey legs yesterday. I will not pass that oportunity again.

The beer and brats are exceptionally good too. Waaaaaaaaaay at the end of the park.

I too will recommend the Tortuga Twins. All 3 of them. We saw them one other time we went, they are very funny!

Harris Teeter has admission tickets for $1 off, so you could stop at any HT and save yourself a couple bucks if you want.

Its always more fun if you go in costume too. Sadly, my costume seems to have shrunk a few sizes
