Default Looking for good, family Italian restaurant in Huntersville

Nothing fancy, just the good old yummy Italian food... like the Mom and Pop Italian restuarants in NY.

Any ideas? I know people used to rave about Mia Familia but it's closed.

Thumbs up Pelligrino's in Troutman

Pelligrino's is an Italian restaurant that is just like being home in NY. Food is outstanding and the service cannot be beat. Prices are reasonable and the owners are like being with family. I love this place. You won't be sorry!!!

Does anyone know what their hours are? I don't see them listed anywhere on their website.

I noticed that no one's mentioned Positano in Birkdale. Is it not good, or does it not meet GirlTravels criteria? What about restaurants like Tony's, Brooklyn South, Proscuittos, Due Amici, and Romanellos?

I realize that I'm not from NYC, so my opinions on this topic probably won't matter. Just a few places to consider, anyway.

Troutman is too far for us with all the kiddos.

We actually ended up getting take out from Mama's Pizza Express in Huntersville and it rocked!

The last time I was there, Greg Biffle, the NASCAR driver, who lives in that area, was there.
