Don't they just do want they want regardless of the vote? Isn't that how we ended up with the new Bobcats Arena?

I'm in Mecklenburg and the bonds on my ballot are:

Park and Recreation Bonds - $250,000,000
Street Bonds - $170,200,000
Housing Bonds - $10,000,000
Neighborhood Improvement Bonds - $47,000,000

You can get a sample ballot by visiting this site and entering in your name. The results will show your voter info and polling place. They'll be a link to a sample ballot on the bottom.

That's interesting. I wonder why they would be on the site, but not really be there. I'll see if they're really on mine tonight.
