I have already voted!!!!!!!!

I sympathize. I unplugged the house phone 2 weeks ago, so it has been quiet at home. But, I work PT at a car dealership as a receptionist and I am plagued with them there!

Since I have cellular I am not having that problem but I am having issue with mailings omg I bet tomorrow mail will be huge.
I also probably end up with alot of past due notices due to the real mail getting lost in the political mail. There was some people at the polls trying to push some canidates and I told them to keep their flyers save a landfill please

I was getting text messages from Barack 4-5 times a day. The other day, I replied back that I had already voted. Surprisingly, someone answered! Jason replied back that he was happy I had voted, but please offer to assist other people to the polls. I couldnt believe someone actually read the text messages! I have only received 1 since then, inviting me to the event in CLT on Monday.

i have been getting calls every single day since late sept on my cell phone from the mccain camp, and when i started calling back leaving voicemails saying stop calling me, they started calling from an anonymous number. i HATE it.

(and i'm on the do not call registry, and it makes no difference...)

I've been getting between 9-10 calls a day from Barack, McCain, Hagen, and Dole. I'm on the DNC list as well and its not working. Wonder also how they got my cell as well.

I was inform by a telemarker that called my cell phone that cell phones are not immune from being called but would not tell me how they got my number probably on those win a free truck giveaway cards I filled out in the past

This is from the do not call website
Quote:
Political solicitations are not covered by the TSR at all, since they are not included in its definition of “telemarketing.” Charities are not covered by the requirements of the national registry. However, if a third-party telemarketer is calling on behalf of a charity, a consumer may ask not to receive any more calls from, or on behalf of, that specific charity. If a third-party telemarketer calls again on behalf of that charity, the telemarketer may be subject to a fine of up to $11,000.

I get calls from the Police Department and the Fire department asking for money. Does this happen to anybody? How do I ask them not to call again? They call atleast once a week everyweek...

The calls are driving me nuts too! It's always a LONG silent pause after I say hello, then my ear gets blasted by some high volume politician.

Every time I hang up I swear to myself that whoever called will NOT get my vote!

(I do make more informed choices but, I'm tempted!)
