Mornin' Doorway! Had to chime in - yes, watched Boston Legal (my DH finds BL a hoot) but even he was a bit taken back w/ all the one-sided political hype . . .
I chuckled at many of the suggestions you all have posted . . . from sitting here tonite, clinging to my guns and religion . . . to digging up the backyard to stash my cash . . . opening off shore accounts . . . and of course - loved Miker's very sensible advice - "a good port" LOL!!! Miker - gonna follow your lead on that one . . .

As a former Poli Sci/ history major and political junkie... this year has been like crack for me and I kind of hate to see it end. DH and I will be watching every moment of the returns coming in. I will flip between the talking head networks to see what both sides are saying.
Oh and also ranting ... I am sure I will be yelling at the TV more than once tonight. :-)

Wow. Sad to see so much fear. I hope a lot of the talk on this thread is hyperbole.
To answer the question, I'm going to be at a client dinner and then watching as long as I can stay up... don't know if I'll make it until a winner is declared or not.

Free scoops of ICE CREAM for me.
Ben and Jerry's ice cream shops are offering a Free scoop of ice cream tonight from 5 PM - 8 PM. They are calling it just a general celebration not related to the election to help avoid any legal problems.
Starbucks might be giving away a free cup of coffee today too if you voted, but I've been reading that they are taking a lot of heat because you're not allowed to offer any sort of incentive for voting even if you don't specific a particular party.

Any truth to Chick-fil-A giving away free sandwiches for your 'I voted' sticker?
If so I will be going this afternoon!
