Now I got it. Sometimes late in the day I tire out but I'm sharp at 5am.

Thanks for the heads up.

LOL...dated thread, but I, too, thought Ani had a brilliant idea with the suggestion that we start Christmas shopping in May this year!

I was wondering if there was going to be any sample sales that you may have heard of for 2012? I am kind of late on asking, but I attended a sale a few years back and loved it. Any information you have would be great!

Talking Holiday Shopping

You can always shop online at Mary Kay | Official Site . Mary Kay has gift sets for everyone, from teens to adults (men and women). My family loves to get their MK "bundle" at Christmas-time each year!! Of course there is makeup and skin care, but also perfume/cologne, hand and body lotions, hand and feet scrubs, and lip balm that lasts for hours!! Plus, by shopping online, you save yourself the hassle of dealing with the traffic and long lines! Shipping is $5 flat no matter how big your order (love that perk), and you generally receive your order within a week!

I will be doing the majority of my shopping online this season as I cannot stand being out in the traffic of Charlotte!!!!

I think the best gifts are those that are not bought.

I'm giving away jars of home made cherry preserves that I made when cherries were cheap and plentiful in the late summer. By this time, the jam has aged nicely and spreads well on crackers, home made bread, or even on a good waffle. It seems to be popular with anyone of any age as a gift. This is my recommendation. Give something that you made yourself.
