Eh. Somehow, Blue asphalt with bright yellow striping doesn't quite sit well with me...nor do highway signs written in Nordic language.

Oh please, it can't be any more confusing than "Inner" and "Outer" loops.

I think the real problem lies that Ikea doesn't do curves... straight lines only.

Well their design fees would be very cheap since they could use Nintendo-type 8 bit graphics for the plans. No need for curvies!

But then again at this point, I'll take anything that connects 77 (north of the city) to 85 to finish the "loop" instead of the 485 semi-circle.

Nice Mario BTW

That's not Mario! That's my proposal for a new traffic pattern in the uptown 277 corridor!

Be prepared. The Orlando store opened just a few weeks after we left in 2007. Our friends said the news covered the opening like a sports event. Folks were camped out for DAYS!!! Days!!! As in multiple 24 hour periods!

I don't get it...for furniture and Swedish treats at the little food court????

Sure my curiosity is peaked and I'll check it out after opening...but only AFTER the dust settles! All I have to say is stay out of my bus route so I get home on time (the 54X gets off I-85 at City Blvd at Ikea)!!!

lol, my thoughts too. was thinking the same thing when Trader Joes opened in Piper Glen, all this traffic for food I can get for a cheaper price at Harris Teeter.

I've been to the IKEA in Dallas, didn't see what all the hype was about.

Not a big Ikea fan at all. As posted on another thread a friend did have her kitchen done by them and it looked great. I just hate walking through the whole darn store. They do have short cuts but I still feel like I have to meander through everything.

Never ate there, so no comment on the meatballs.

I LOVE Ikea. It is on my list of "things to do" every time I go to Chicago. The lunches are great & inexpensive, too.

Kitchen gadgets and textiles, too...all very inexpensive.

There is a growing Scandinavian community here, due, in part, I think, do to Ikea's arrival.
