Ouch! I always lost like the 2nd round of spelling bee's. I wish I would have had glasses back then that projected a picture in front of me with speech recognition. I would have won every one. Too bad that technology was wayyyy out of reach for a 4th grader at the time

Holidays....agghhh. We have 13 family members coming to stay IN OUR HOUSE starting this weekend. I have gotten busy at work this week so I have not even had a moment to prepare for them.
There is a problem with goodies in our house....usually i eat them after the kids go to sleep so I am a little fluffier than I would like to be. But for the kids sake (haha) we will be baking this weekend...every cookie imaginable. What some? I have never made candy, but that sounds like it could be an experiment with the girls.
Geezzz . . . "Hotel Patti" it sounds like . . .

As long as you have clean sheets and towels . . . don't worry about preparation! When you are working - there is just no way to play Concierge, Housekeeper, Family Chauffeur, Chef, etc.

If you go the candy route, get something really really easy and not so messy. Someone mentioned "chocolate bark" on one of the threads yesterday . . . wonder what that is????

And we are not even going to discuss being FLUFFY. Nope. Living w/ my share of FLUFFY these days . . .

SCARLET: I am playing Ani the Psychic today. Why do I see a bracelet for you? Lost one? Wanting one for Christmas? Or I guess it could be your wrist . . . anything going on w/ a bracelet or your watch or something to do w/ your wrist?

Or have my psychic powers faded for the day . . .

Go out to the Ingles in Kings Mountain & hit the bakery. You can get most of what you need there. Fudge is on sale, $2.98 lb.

A couple of weeks ago, I overheard a woman say that she had come from Belmont.

hmmmmmm, no lost bracelets. I did have carpel tunnel syndrome a few years ago but all is fine now. Maybe I'm going to be arrested?

More than likely DH has something sparkly waiting for me under the tree. Yeah, I'll go with that one.

I love bracelets btw, I buy more of those than any other piece of jewelry.

Here is a quick and easy fudge recipe for any of you craving fudge or wanting something easy and fun to do w/ the kids (or to surprise your spouse!!!!!!)

Two Ingredient Fudge

1 (12 ounce) can ready to spread frosting - chocolate or vanilla
1 (12 ounce) package chocolate chips (can use white chocolate)

Melt the chips in a microwave safe bowl, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth.
Melt frosting until pourable, about 30 seconds.
Mix together the chips and frosting and pour into a greased 8x8 pan.
Chill until set, about an hour.
Makes a very soft, smooth fudge.
Do not use the toffee chips, as they don't melt very well.
Try any other flavor combo you think would taste good.

(This is my variation of a Recipe from Recipezaar.com)
