If Brian's wife has musical taste like his she might be very happy with listening to the Stones. I know that I am female & 57 & if someone started playing the music that you are saying is guaranteed to get the right mood going it would only annoy me.

I respect that you have different musical taste than I do. That's why there's such a variety available.

Yep, didn't strokes for different folks Personally I detest the Stones and their music would maybe put me in the mood to clean out the garage or something, lol.

Oh, I think it is wonderful that you are a romantic! I think I am a poop!

DH is a HUGE romantic!!! He does the sweetest little things . . . so thoughtful and always surprising me w/ unusual ways to say I LOVE YOU.

I have to really work at thinking up ways to be romantic. I even bought a book once on "romantic things to do for your partner." Desperation!!!!!

YES!!!! That's the idea!!!!! It's get your hands dirty kind of music!!!!!!

Or you can use some lyrics from my all time favorites, The Grateful Dead... a song like...

"Shake it, shake it, Sugaree...just don't tell 'em you know me..."

Ani, I think that "romantic" is different things to different people. I do not fit the popular definition, either, but I'd bet that there's something that you do that your husband thinks is romantic that you don't think is.

To me, romantic would be changing the oil in my car without having to ask. I've spent more than one day sharing an electronic project. It's something that I enjoy doing & if we both enjoy it, that, too, can be romantic.

If I made up a CD I'd definitely include Sugaree, some Stones, a couple of Yardbirds, & don't forget Layla by Clapton...

I'd put this one on it, but it would land me on the other side of the apartment door.

Try this instead, Brian. She'll get a good laugh.
