The reason we moved to the area we are in now was for the schools. When we were house shopping my main concern was the school everything else was secondary. If I didn't have children I may have moved to a different area.

Not sure about the low temp. All I know is that they are reporting on TV that it was the area's coldest night "in decades."

I live in a slab home and generally one of us is up late and one of us generally me is up early (sign Im getting old since the older generation is always up at crack of dawn) but that wasnt the case last night so I am paranoid about the pipes freezing. I dont even know where the shut off valve is.
I just ran hot water at the kitchen sink the water came out hot and fine but would I know where a leak is probably not. Would it occur at the sink or hot water heater? Lord knows the outside spickets dont have those styrofoam covers. I have no use for them til the Spring is that when Ill know it may have issues? I dont want this house to turn into a water park ride.

Ohhhh, I did - took Miss Scarlett out. Even with her very thick coat, she didn't want to hang around outside. Not fun.

as long as the water is coming out fine, you should not have a problem. No water park rides at Sunny's
