Good AM all, how was that for nice weather this weekend! Ahh, felt like I was back in So Cal, that's my kind of weather.

So as I sit unemployed looking for jobs every morning on websites, sometimes you just wonder off. If only they had the web when I was in school. Anywho, I decided to look up a couple of things. Since my g-dad was in the Navy my mom got to live in Hawaii twice and Guam once while growing up in which they lived in Quonset Huts. Mom used to tell me stories about opening a cupboard door and a Cane Spider would be staring you down or the time she went to the restroom and couldn't get out because one was next to the door handle. So I did a little research on Cane Spiders and also checked out You tube. Yeah, I could have done without that although as I was cringing in my chair I was laughing hysterically at the kids trying to catch the thing. They can get up to a 5" leg span!

So the next family story is from g-dad. While in the Navy in the Pacific Islands he told me about Coconut Crabs and how he watched a sailor stick an oar in the claw and the crab snapped it right in two! Well anything that can crack a coconut with it's claw, holy moly. But I never saw a photo of one. The first photo that popped up showed one on the side of a trash can, it was as big as the stinking can! Good Lord!

Thanks Sunny, You have fun going to Florence. Blast some tunes and enjoy the ride!!
I'm chaperoneing (sp?) my daughters class trip today. The darling little fifth graders have asked to be able to bring pillows so they can sleep through it. Teacher told them if you fall asleep, you better not snore.
How do I get myself into these things?
Have a GREAT day all...............

Good morning everyone..!!! I've been lurking around CD over the past few weeks and not really adding any value like you guys have, sorry about that! Anyway, some great news came my way this week, after close to seven months of being unemployed, very depressed an becoming terribly fearful of my future, I did land a JOB.!! I've accepted an offer with Merck Pharmaceutical here in Charlotte, near the Research Park complex just off W. Mallard Creek Rd...A word to anyone out there still unemployed, try and stay as positive as you can, and don't ever give up!! If I can land a job at "57", you can too, the right one will hopefully come your way, and I'll be praying for you all....
