Doorway, you do need help. How do they put eggplant parm on a sub anyway?

My husband went and got a slice for lunch (carryout). He reports it is "amazing". I have not been yet. Perhaps this weekend.

Pizza is my hubby's favorite.

Big Guys in Mint Hill has been our 'go to' anytime we have guests from home visiting. I am very excited to try this place and will be going this weekend.

My name is Doorway and I'm addicted to good Italian food.........Just finished the whole sandwich!!!! I did call my friend first. I said "jeat?" she said "no, jew" I said "No, I'm goin to Lorenzos to eat now".
Seriously though, I put the wrappings in the outside trash so the kids wouldn't see it. I told them there was no way we were going back till Saturday!!!!
BTW, I talked to the owner and he has seen this thread and was very touched by it. So was his wife. Seems like a real nice guy........

Berry I'm Italian, I have family off the boat from Palermo (Sicily)Italy VIA Manhattan of course. We call it sauce . Personally, I don't know any true Italians that do.I said Personally. Gravy is the Amercanized way to say sauce.
If you go to Italy and ask for gravy they wouldn't understand. That goes for you too door.LOL
Anyway I'm glad more NY stlye pizza places are here. When someone recommends Fuel or Hawthornes I start to twitch.
And Angelas does not sell by the slice so I'm glad Lorenzos does and they have Garlic knots! Angelas does not.
Angelas does have the best Italian food though and really fair prices.IMO
