Torres closed a while ago. I like Miro although one of my friends calls it the Spanish Olive Garden! I don't know that I've ever had paella without seafood in it though.
I'm a paella fanatic. My wife and I have actually worked vacations around famous paella restaurants.
If you really like Spanish food, just skip Miro. I've given it numerous chances and had lots of different dishes, and every single time I'm disappointed. The best paella in Charlotte is in Tria Terra on Pineville-Matthews (next to Chuck-E-Cheese where the Fresh Market and Party City are). Most US restaurants outside of NY and Miami use regular parboiled rice. Tria Terra actually uses arborio rice which is much closer to the traditional bomba rice used in paella. In general, Tria Terra has the best Spanish food in Charlotte, by far better than Miro.
