Default Need Pie Shop in S CLT

Thanksgiving week is furiously approaching and we will have 7 houseguests during that time (wife's family from OH & MA).

A request has been put in for pies.
Honestly, my family just does not eat pie on any regular basis.
On a vary rare occassion, I make a pumpkin pie, but other than that we are just not pie people.

Any recommendations for pie shops in south Charlotte?

There's a new bakery next to Trader Joe's on Rea Rd - Harvest Grains or something like that. I haven't tried their pies yet, but their bread and cookies are good, and the pies look good!!

Trader Joe's also has pretty good pies. You could also try Suarez Bakery in the Park Rd Shopping Ctr. Call ahead to order, though!!!

My recommendation would be to respond to their request for pie with, "Pie? We don't eat pie much here, but sure! Bring all the pie you'd like!" Then I'd serve whatever I wanted to.

I think there's a reason I'm rarely asked to host family gatherings.

LOL, I agree, but considering this is only the second time we have done this in 14 years, I am trying to be on my best behavior.
My wife has already told me that I cannot spend all my time playing in my man cave (garage) and must socialize.

Ani, thanks as always, I will let you know.

The amusing thing to me is that all together there will be 11 people.
And it was requested we get 10 pies. 10. TEN.
I mean, that is a ton of pie. I doubt I have eaten 2 entire pies in my whole life.
Growing up we just did not eat a ton of sweets or sit around and eat pie...
