Reading these posts is making me nostalgic this early in the morning. Brian, you would laugh, but, my high school's website shows a "tech dept" tab and then the page is blank! Guess the old fogeys haven't figured out how to put the yearbooks online yet!!
So, let's all have a (virtual) White Castle and say cheers! to living in Charlotte!
Bertucci's was in Sycamore Commons in Matthews, but recently closed. Phil & Tony's is moving in from the Arboretum.
Whole Foods is supposedly coming to the SouthPark area later this year.
Actually it is supposed to be next year I think, for the Whole Foods. A friends of mine works for the company and will be coming out to open it, but I think it's not as soon as originally expected.

I'll go along with that toast any old day. Except the White Castles. Virtual or real, they should always be consumed after sundown and you should never remember actually eating them.
And you have to have several. I was always good for three, but the guys would order 10!!!
Okay, I miss perogies and root beer at Stewarts and cheese steaks and onion rings at Petes Place. We would always go there on weekends while hanging out in Riverbank Park.

Stewart's right next to the car dealership and the bridge leading into Belleville. That place was great.

Hey Dori, I worked at Pete's, summer of 1970, what a great spot, remember the cheeseburger deluxe? 2 little burgers, fries and a coke, $1.99. Before it was Pete's Place, it was George's, he was a Greek fella....

That looks just like the Stewarts on Route 38........
How good was the draft root beer served in a frosted mug...this Stewart's is in Kearny, on River Rd. right next door to what was formerly Pete's Place..
