There is a great place to get trees in Pineville. They supply landscapers and have a HUGE selection. Now I cant remember the name!!!! It's on South Blvd right past the intersection of Pineville Matthews Rd. There is a Jiffy Lube next door. Anyone know who I mean? This is also a great place to get bushes and groundcover for alot less than the big stores and nurseries. I'll keep thinking...........

Hey Berry, get some good advice from the nursery on the type tree you need to plant to achieve the privacy shield. Your soil, the sunlight, etc., will make a difference. Leyland Cypress might work, but a straight pine is not something I would plant near my house (pine needles, pine cones, dropping limbs, snapping under ice), and oak trees are not fast growers. Just do your homework (like you always do ), before you plant.

I would recommend Christy's Nursery on 29 in Concord. Not Union County or Charlotte, but I think that's inbetween the two, right? (Not sure on my geography here yet, I'm new!). They are somewhat near the Speedway, were very helpful and had a good selection when I was there recently.

Growers Outlet???? Anyway, we got leeland cypress there a few weeks ago and they were huge. We needed to replace one lost to last years drought. I think we paid only $69.00 for a 6' one. They had larger ones, but they are too heavy to work with. You won't be dissappointed w/ this place.

I recently went to Pine Lake Nursery on Potters Rd in Matthews. Very happy with the selection and prices.

Growers Outlet
313 N Polk St
Pineville, NC 28134

Growers Outlet is near Carolina Place. We went in early spring of this year and they had a very nice selection on plants and good prices. Our neighbor had just planted a bunch of Crate Myrtles, I told him about Growers Outlet and he went to check it out and the Crate Myrtles were a much better price than what he had paid.

I had a particularly poor experience with Pine Lake in Matthews/Indian Trail. I would not recommend them.
