Just came across this survey on Charlotte.com. Where do YOU think is the "happiest place" in Charlotte?

For me, when I need a mood lifter, I like to just wander the aisles of Black Lion. All those beautiful little booths inspire me to come home and "create" something.

I was in Black Lion yesterday and did not spend the thousand dollars I would have liked to on Christmas decorations. I bet my husband won't give me any credit for that!!!
Seriously though, all the merchants have decorated their shoppes so beautifully. Talk about eye candy. So, yes. Black Lion would be on my list of Happy Places.

I'd have to say The Men's Club.

City limits pointing out and doing 70 has gotta be pretty high on the list. Who doesn't love a good vacation?

Ah, my friend, I so hear you

ONE of the happiest places in town (besides Ani's house!) is the Matthews Public Library during story time. They do a great job there of reading to the kids and the kids are so cute with their outbursts and laughter. Try to drop in there some day, it is gaurenteed to make you smile!

My garage.
It's my happy place!

From this...

To this, in an afternoon!

It went in this:

Bought at $500, sold at $10,000

Currently have my BMW sidecar rig torn down for some minor engine work.
Trying to get reassembled to ride the visiting cousins around.

I did spend a few minutes in the house today.
Wife is painting the powder room as we have 9 house guests coming on Monday.
I had to move the toilet so she could paint behind it.
I hate painting, and she hates plumbing, so we are a team - LOL!

I agree, I hate plumping up at this time of the year too - just too many goodies to pass up
