Do anyone work from home handle hotel and airline reservations, roadside assistance, tech support or sales calls. If so where do I apply and how do you like it?

care to explain the bump on your head native son? lol. Sorry coolcivic, but when anyone asks for a work at home job, it's like asking where you can go pick up free money. Okay, perhaps not that bad, but work at home jobs are usually VERY hard to come by. They are extremely desirable, and most of the ones you see online are a scam. Most likely, work at home jobs must start in an office. I work at home full time and I started in an office in Kentucky! Was there for about 9 months before going home and it was a special case only type of thing. Good luck though!!

Home Sweet Home is correct. I have the option of working from home too. But I also started out working strictly in office. I think of it as another benefit that a company offers. Its not for everyone, but I do enjoy of having the "option" for those days I just dont want to come in.

Here is some info on legit work-at-home opportunities:
The following is an NPR story on "homeshoring":
http://www.npr.org/templates/story/stor ... Id=5187431

and these are companies that are in that line of business:
Business Process Outsourcing, Virtual Call Center Services USA
Home Based Business - Have your own home based business and work from home - Arise - At Home
West .:. Career Opportunities
I think most of these jobs are customer-service jobs where you deal with customers over the phone. You need a separate internet connection, so you can speak on the phone and be on-line at the same time.

Keep us posted, we're all interested in viable work-from-home opportunities.

Starting a job where you work from home is one thing.
Encouraging your current employer to let you work from home is quite another. Once you are out of your boss' sight working at home he will slowly realize that he doesn't need to see you, so you could be anywhere. Not only could you be anywhere, you could be anyone, and it would be a lot cheaper to hire someone in India to do your job. Beware!
