Trader Joe's coming to Charlotte
Just got off the phone with my bro in law and he said they were going to open a Trader Joe's in South Charlotte! Great news! Now when I move I don't have to load our travel trailer up on my favorite TJ things.

I just want to inform everyone that this is the one "invasion" you'll welcome. Trader Joe's is the best place to find cheap, exotic eatin's.

This is great news!! According to their website there isn't a location in NC yet. So, is the rumor there will be one in Charlotte and Cary??? I hope so! I will be about a hour from either city. I am moving to NC next month and I have already started gathering my Trader Joe's items to bring with us.

My bro in law is in the Charlotte/Matthews area and he said they were opening one close by and that it would be easy enough for us to get to from Weddington or Waxhaw the areas we are looking to move. Someone else (sorry can't remeber) mentioned Cary. Right after my hubby told me I went straight to the website also and nothing. I will ask my bro in law next time I talk to him as only hubby chatted this time, and you know hubby's don't ask questions like where? LOL As soon as I hear I'll let you know.

The thing I read wasn't very clear, but it sounds like Cary is on the docket for the Fall of 2006.

Okay I am not familiar with Trader Joe's so is this anything like a Cracker Barrel or something else? Sounds really interesting.

No, it's little market healthfood type store. They have great deals on wine and flowers. They have really good biscotti (hubby's favorite). They have organic items also (I am not so much into that). They have great desserts too, frozen seafood, fruits, veggies bread, nuts etc.
