My point exactly. You didn't earn enough to enjoy the same QOL in NJ that you enjoy in NC. In other words you couldn't hack it.

All we have in this life is our integrity - no one can take that away from you - but you yourself can ruin your future if you don't stick to your values.

I feel for the guy who can't find a job, but I also know . . . sometimes we have to make tough decisions and it sounds to me like this guy needs to get real and find work wherever there is a job - and relocate. After a year, he should have figured that out.

I just don't get it. How on earth can someone stay in an area for 2 YEARS and not once find a job, well a full time steady job. Even if it means traveling a distance, there has got to be something to "supplement" that bundle he made in NY.

I agree w/that. You need to own up to your responsibilities and should've though about his future income alot sooner. Poor job of doing that IMO.....

Dern, Palmetto. Why so mean spirited? Jack has a good life. Nothing wrong w/ wanting to move here to have more time with his family.

Sure, there's nothing wrong with spending more time with family but his choice proves my point. The best, brightest, and most driven yankees aren't the ones who are moving to Charlotte.

Anti-native?

Oh, and quit referring to me as "sir". It makes you seem like a douche.

Really, how CAN you say that? The truth is, the smart ones move and get away from all that crazy taxation if you ask me
