You bet...and the pole said "Tonsorial Services" on it. He also had a emblem on the front window "Kool Inside" Air Conditioned, with a big picture of a vintage pack on 1950's Kool cigarettes. My dad had daily games of pinochle in the back room with his cronies, for money of course.

49ers Barber Shop in Harrisburg. Its a nice place with plenty of chairs and they all do straight Razer shaves. Just go up 49 and make a left at the cemetary like you going to Lowes Motorspeedway. Its right there on the right.

Man, I had that done once....nothing like it....
Its not just the straight razor...its the whole experience w/the hot towels.....AHHHHHH.......
Obv the poster earlier has never had this done because no "regular" razor can match the process of an old school barber shop...

KY is kind of far to drive just to get a straight razor shave. I will stick to my Mach 3 for now.

I can remember riding my bike downtown to the little mall in my hometown, where my grandfather sat in the barber shop in the shoeshine stand next to Curtis(the man who shined shoes). They had the poll outside that turned around 24/7. What happened to the simple life!?

There used to be a barber shop in dowtown Pineville. With the old timey chairs and pole and all. It turned into a Real Estate office, a while back, which has since shut down. I saw a sign outside on Friday that read Barber Shop. Maybe it's coming back. It looked like the kind of place for a hot lather shave.

I doubt that I'd allow anyone to take a razor blade to my face but me....the thought of that frightens me...I'll stick to the Gillette razor w/ the good shaving gel I use.
