The highest tier was 55 bucks with a 40 gig cap before you would start experiencing the dollar per gig increase beyond. I'd still be leery of that one but at least that limit starts getting a little bit difficult to hit.
I have a feeling we will be seeing caps soon, I bet in less than 3 years. Which honestly I don't mind. I use the internet quite a bit and if I have to pay $10 more per month because of my usuage to keep my speed up, go for it. My folks who websurf and e-mail should not need to pay the same.

As far as AT&T, I am interested in how it goes for people. I have been leery of DSL. If its the new Fiber Optic than I am excited. I am hoping Verizon comes out here too. Think of it, Competition.. could drive deals and the like. Dreams..

Nuff said. I'm regretting this. Lets hope they get everything working.

How about keeping the same rate that we're paying now and dropping the rates for your folks?

I kinda like that idea better.

Man, that stinks. This reminds of the old DSL days back in the late 90s. It was a 12 advil day when I was helping to configure these.

After the yuengling Things went well....

The finishing touches are coming up in the 14th hour... AT&T definitely gets an A+ for their customer service. It is head and heels over Time Warner. Once I get a few days to play around w/ the service I'll post a solid review that's less filled with emotion and yuengling

What internet package did you get? Can you run a dslreports.com speed test and let us know how the speed measures up to what's advertised?

I'm not home now so I can't post the actual results but i got the 6MB down 1MB up package.

Here's how it broke down.

Last via wireless I was getting 5.7down and 978k up which is close enough for me. After a little tweeking on their end I should be golden.

This morning I checked from my Ethernet connected computer and was getting 5.7-5.9Mb down and only 126k up. I'll check again this evening and hopefully the upload will be good. I'll post graphical results in my official review
