Come on people, do something for yourself, go to the store, buy a knife sharpener and
DO IT YOURSELF.

There's a common theme in Sci-Fi novels about societies that got so advanced and the people got so lazy that no one could remember how to fix any of their high tech machines and when they all broke their entire society went back to barbarism.

One of these days, the few people out here that can actually fix things are going to be the kings.
Lexapro....don't knock it till you've tried it.

FYI: Talked to Blackhawk Hardware. They have a specialist sharpen blades and that includes serrated knives!

Just drop your knife off on M-W-F. Charge is only $3!!!!

I have a sharpener - several, in fact! But nothing like having a pro put a nice sharp edge on an expensive knife.

So round up your dull knives - even those w/ serrated edges - and get a pro to do them the right way . . . They can even fix a broken tip on a knife.

Default There is now a sharpener in South Charlotte

Hi. If anyone out there is still looking for a sharpener in South Charlotte, I'm here to let you know that I should be open for business by Aug. 12, 2009. I've been sharpening for 20 years. After getting laid off, I decided that now's the time to do sharpening full-time.
I've started "A Finer Edge", a mobile sharpening service serving South Charlotte, Pineville, Ballantyne and points east to Independence Blvd.
I'll be sharpening for salons (shears & clippers) and homes (knives & tools). I am an industry-certified sharpener for sharpening salon shears using the "Hira-to" sharpener, the most advanced shear sharpener found today. Getting shears sharp enough to do a "slide cut" or "no-hair-slip" is not a problem.
I was featured in a newspaper article in the Charlotte Observer on Aug. 2 (page 3d - the article can be found online).
If you need further information, I now have a website: afineredege.com.

I tried your website and it didn't work? We'd be interested in this, cuz our knives need sharpening really bad. We used to take them to this place that sharpened surgical instruments in Ohio and it was great.
