Mall Santa's
My wife and I are wanting to take our 5 month old to get her picture made with Santa tomorrow. I am thinking that we will go to Southpark Mall.
Does anyone have any idea of how much this costs? Are there better places for us to go to have our daughter meet Santa for the first time?

At the KoC Local 313
There's a fat man standing by the soda machine
And he knows, he knows, he knows
Life can be funny
He calls the hair salon says put Loretta on
Cause the mall just called and said the last guy's gone
And I know, I know, God knows
We need the money
And he's a big red cherry
But its hard to be merry
When the kids are all laughing
Saying hey its Jerry Garcia
Ain't he cute?
The man in the Santa suit
And all the moms in town bring their brats around
And they cant sit still or keep their rootbeer down
Now its up, hey how bout that
It looks like a milkshake
Now Jimmy's grown this year says mommy quick come here
Santa's sweaty and he smells like beer
And he says, kid shut your mouth
You give me a headache
And he's jolly and hairy
But its hard to be merry
When the guys at the bar
Say he looks like a fairy
But hes doing it just for the loot
The man in the Santa suit
[break] verse x2
And hes a big red cherry
Hes jolly and hairy
Everyone's laughing, but he doesn't care
He stays cool
Ain't he cute?
The man in the Santa suit

I have not been able to check out any mall Santas in the area- what would make my decision is what Santa looks like- it's awesome when Santa looks real, and awful when Santa has dark or yellow hair and a short beard or something un-Santa-like.
But I will recommend that you check out Bass Pro Shop, any one you happen to be near. For you I guess it's Concord Mills. Bass Pro Shops is FREE to go sit with Santa and you get a good quality free 4x6 picture right then to take with you, you can go online later to order more prints. I go to the Bass Pro at Myrtle Beach. The Santa is a great one, and the pictures were good, and they don't mind if you come back again and again- we came back once because we didn't KNOW Santa was there and my daughter was wearing old playclothes...we had her pic made because she wanted to meet Santa...then a week or so later we brought her back with her sister, dressed Christmasy. You can find the prices at Bass Pro online....I have not ordered yet so am not totally sure of this but while the pictures are GREAT and the background decor is so nice and fun and well done...there might be only 2 cons if you consider them so. I think- NOT sure- that Bass Pro's logo might be somewhere in the picture such as on a sign in the background...and also, it's a 4x6 so if you order 8x10 they will be in landscape mode (wide not tall).
I say look for the most realistic Santa, and expect babies to cry- my 11 month old WAILED! Crying kids on Santa's lap- make funny memories! Why are so many kids scared of Santa?? Haha!

This girl at church who probably around 7, during a childrens moment during service said she knew Christmas was coming because she saw Santa Claus at concord mills then she says "The Real Santa".. it was cute.

Actually, Southpark has had one of the best santa's for years in Charlotte - I'd go there Sorry, don't know the price.

I think it's pretty average for anywhere to pay $30 for a small, basic package of prints! Like one 8x10 a 5x7 and some wallets. High I know! But, it's Santa. I grew up in the days when Santa came to the mall for free and mom and dad took the pics with their own camera!
I do remember when I lived in Concord and my youngest was a baby...we went to Carolina Mall in Concord and that was the first time we were aware that Santa now costs- they wouldn't even let the kid through the gate if you didn't pay for a package! We still would have done it but Santa had dark gray hair.
I'll bite and accept that Santa's not free anymore but he should LOOK right! Bass Pro actually does a good job here in my area. I didn't see the mall santa yet as he was on his LUNCH break (at 7pm!)- the elves were kind of just standing around chatting.
