The traffic can be tedious at times in a couple of hot spots in town, but you can easily learn how to deal with it (travel at the better times, use alternate routes, etc.). If you've had any experience living / commuting in areas like NJ, DC, etc, you'd laugh at what people consider to be "nightmare" traffic issues around here.

Agree, traffic can be bad at certain hotspots and times. We find it manageable.
Some people may not realise that they are widening Brawley School (planned completion??) and there is now a Bloom grocery store and other stores planned at the junction of Stutts and Brawley.
It takes my husband (live off Canvasback) between 40mins and an hour to drive from home to Southend area to work.
He takes the express bus (from intersection of Brawley and Williamson-parks at church) 2 days a week-usually Friday as traffic on Fridays seems to be partic bad coming home. It costs $25 for 10 single trips and takes about the same time as driving.Buses only run at peak times but don't stop anywhere.

So agree about traffic. Anyone who has sat in bumper to bumper snail paced traffic in other cities is not gonna see the stop and go and slowed down traffic here as a big obstacle to happiness. And it isn't gonna last forever.

We have a fleet of party buses that go to Charlotte from Cornelius, but I believe that the whole bus has to be hired. Can a couple ride the bus from Mooresville on weekend nights and where does it stop in Mooresville?

Williamson Road seems to be an up and coming area that is close to many things. Quite a few condos and apts. around there. I see several nice new restaurants and retail in that area. Vinnies is also close and a nice fun bar.

We recently moved from the west side of Mooresville ( Cluster Condos ) off Brawley School Rd...which was nice ,except for the TRAFFIC. We are now 300 yds away from the local golf course on W.Wilson Ave and closer to the main town of Mooresville.....and we love it.
We paid $850 for a small 2br condo ( 900 sq ft ) and now pay $800 for a 2,000 sq ft house just seconds away from the golf course. Stay on east side of hwy 77.
We are older than dirt, so the night life is something we can only remember now.....two prune juice shooters and a geritol on the rocks, and we call it a night at 8 pm.
We have lived in NYC, Hawaii (30yrs), Denver,Colorado, Sarasota,Fl and now Mooresville, NC....which I will take my final "dirt nap".....and call it a great life!!!
Welcome and good luck..I am sure you find the right place......
