Smile Half Off Christmas Merchandise Already

Ok I know we are in tough times when the start of December I am already seeing half off sales.
Live wreaths use to cost about 35-45 bucks and sometimes more than a tree, and they was plain.
I bought some live ones 22'' and 28" from 9.97 to 14.97 at Lowes
Also they had all there Christmas merchandise half off.
Im not use to these kind of savings til the day after Christmas.
Has anyone seen other stores doing similar deals?

I hope I am wrong, but I think we are going to see many retailers close up shop in early 2009.

I hope you are wrong, too, Mullman, but it seems things are getting pretty dismal on the retail end - nationwide. Very very worrisome.
