Where is Fuddrucker's in Blakeney?

I find their burgers passable (Five Guys is better) but really liked their chicken sandwiches. Not sure if they still offer the toppings bar but it was good to have the option of loading up your burger or sandwich if you wanted to. The locations I've been to in SC are always filled with families.

I like Fuddrucker's from my days in NJ, but I'd rather see a pizzaria in Blakeney.

No thanks. Don't like Fuddruckers.
Blakeney doesn't need any more chains...IMO

Agreed. I'd like to see an independent place, or at least a local chain. But I guess we can't be too particular in the current economic climate.

I always thought Fuddruckers was overpriced for what it is. My kids used to love eating there when we lived in VA. I hated going there becuase I knew I'd be over paying for a burger and a shake.

Yeah, I completely agree with the independent place comment, I think I should have been more specific in my question! I was asking if you guys thought it would be a good idea. I have been thinking about opening a business for quite sometime. Although Fuddruckers is a chain, I was thinking they're prices are competitive for what you get. For instance, I paid 6.50 today, and I got a 1/3 lb burger, fries and unlimited refills on drinks. They also had a salad bar as well. I was thinking the atmosphere would more or less be very family friendly, and might do very well.

I personally like Fuddruckers. You can argue the quality of the hamburger but I like the bun which appears to be broiled with an egg wash. The best part is the toppings bar. Always great ingredients and a lot of different choices.

I am all for more independent places as well but I have been to a lot of them that have been crap. With an idependent place you have a 50/50 chance of getting what you expect. With a chain you have a better chance of getting a consistent product.

Opening a non-chain would be very tough right now, especially if it was a saturated area. I also think that it seems bar and grills or speciality places succeed. Everyone hates chains, but they do well for a reason, they have consisent decent food most of the time. As far as Fuddruckers.. They had one in Huntersville it closed, not sure why, but I liked going, lots of competition here for burgers though with cookout and five guys. Though I always thought Fuddruckers had a better bigger burger.

I like Fudruckers. They have a decent burger and a cold beer. My kids like the shakes and they get a free cookie. Will it be over by the Pet Smart or on the 131 Main side?
Someone mentioned pizza.....there's a Brixx pizza in Blakeny and it's very good. There is a playground right behind it where your kids can play while you wait for the food . Check it out.
