I was wondering if anyone knows which discount airlines run from charlotte to NJ(ewr airport) or even philadelphia??

I will have to make a couple trips and I dont want to drive it by myself, but dont want to spend a fortune either.

If you'd consider LaGuardia, Travelocity sent me an alert just last night about a round trip fare of $103 from Charlotte w/one stop in DC.....

There is no non-stop low fare airline to EWR.

Your options are non-stop: US Airways and Continental
US Airways, Delta, and American fly Charlotte to LaGuardia
JetBlue to JFK.
Connections are Delta via Atlanta and Cincinnati.
Airtran via Atlanta
United via Washington Dulles.

I think only US Airways flies direct to PHL.

How about Baltimore? US Airways and AirTran fly that route.

Thankfully with the arrival of AirTran and JetBlue Charlotte airfares have dipped a bit.

Plan ahead and you should get a pretty good deal.

Sign up for US Airways e-savers, EWR is offered quite a bit. E-Savers come out on Wed. and are good for a Saturday departure and Sun, Mon, or Tue return. I think other airlines offer a similar program.
