Default Is It Raining?

I am up in the triad doing some business but I need to be in Charlotte tomorrow. Should I head out this evening or wait til the morning ?

I have been watching News 14 and I see the green on radar but it also shows green where I am at and it not raining but light drizzle.

What the real deal of what is it doing outside in Charlotte?
I dont mind driving in the rain it just other drivers that concern me and my rain x has worn off.

I love an update around 7pm too thanks

I wonder if it will lighten up around 7-8 a.m. I can never trust weatherment because everything is always blown out of proportion. I guess I could pull up traffic reports in the a.m. they are good indicators if conditions are unfavorable.

It's almost 2:30 and nothing is coming down here. I'm in S. Charlotte. Be careful.

Sunny - Check the Doppler:

There was a front moving through today, and it looks like it is just crossing over Charlotte now. Depending on how fast it gets to the Triad, it may blow by before you need to depart. There was a tornado watch in the foothills earlier (1 PM-ish), but nothing much going on now but drizzle here in Marvin. Drive safely!

Sunny, about 30 minutes ago it was POURING at my office, located on Tyvola near I-77. Now, it has stopped. I think it might be that kind of day - periods of rain off and on.

This such a weird front but boy it nice to turn the heat off and take the jacket off base on this traffic report
Charlotte Traffic Report & Road Conditions | North Carolina Traffic Updates - WSOC-TV
I think Ill hope the front blows through by morning time. I wouldnt have issue if 85 didnt shrink down to 2 lanes each way.
