Default Washing Machine delivery from Lowes to townhome at Ayrsley

This past black friday I went out and purchased a Samsung front loader and dryer for my new home at Ayrsley. I live at the Ryan Home development called central park. Its a townhome. Now I have been having a hellish experience with getting the appliances delivered as Lowes is telling me that they have tried this before and that it would not fit as they are too big. Has anyone else have this problem of getting a front loader into the house???? Into the laundry room on the 3rd floor??? Would it even work on the 3rd floor????
Please let me know.

Have you measured the machine, the doorways, & the space in question? That should tell you everything that you need to know.

Some front loaders should not go on the 2nd or 3rd floors because of the rate of spin... You might need to ask the sales person... We purchased at HHGregg and they only had a few options for front loaders that were safe on the 2nd floors.
Good Luck!

Yeah Ive measured and even spoken to the PM. He says that they have walked refridgerators up the stairs of their townhomes. So I even dragged my Amorie up those stairs. Lowes are standing firm that they have tired it and it would not work due to their size although this washer with VRT (vibration reduction technology) is the best one for the 3rd floor.

This sounds odd. Maybe their delivery people demand additional funds for upstairs delivery & it wasn't factored into your quote. I would say to cancel the sale & insist on a full refund, since they are refusing to make the delivery. I know that Sears has Samsung models, & theye are running nearly continuous sales. Also check with Home Depot. Just verify delivery with them before finalizing the purchase.

I'd say cancel it and look elsewhere. I guess free delivery means free delivery if we don't have to work very hard. They are just lazy. Any modern home should have wide enough stairways. We've gotten much bigger things than a washer and drier up 100 year old narrow stairway triple deckers in Boston. Also look into vibration damping pads for under your washer. They are cork and foam and they have them at Lowes. We use them on my wives industrial sewing machine which shakes like a front load washer.

I really wanted the VRT, but I had just bought a new washer/dryer set when I discovered that one. I know I saw it at either HHGregg or Best Buy...I think it was Best Buy. If you show them your reciept and that you got free delivery I am sure they will match your Lowes price and maybe beat it if you tell them you will 'return' the product to Lowes and buy it from them instead...worth a try.

Please let me know.

One year ago - new home - Bosch front loaders from Lowe's - up to the second floor of our home. Fit tightly into second floor laundry room, but it fits.

Measure it - if they won't deliver, then it's their loss. Buy from someone who will.

I'd check the measurements and then double-check. I don't know the brand they bought, but I know Tober138 lives in the Ryan townhomes and their front loaders wouldn't fit behind the doors of the laundry closet.

Hi, BTW, we're your neighbors. We live in the Lennar townhomes just on the other side of Kings Parade Blvd from you.

If your new units have the vibration technology I don't think noise downstairs is going to be a problem. We just recently purchased a front load with that technology and it runs about as quietly as the refrigerator.
