I work in advertising and would like to relocate to Charlotte this summer. Any recommendations on suburbs outside the city with a commute of 20 minutes or less? Something with affordable price ($125k), safe neighborhood?

Any advice would be helpful. We don't know much about the area.

Thanks

What you seek is not possible in your price range, unless you would possibly consider a townhome or condo and even then $125,000 might be tough.

Hi Hall,

Feel free to access my website (found under my profile) and see for yourself what's available. Depending on where you need to drive to in Charlotte for your job, you may well find something within a twenty minute drive in your price range. And, you never know what might come on the market between now and summer. Let me know if I can be of assistance.

I tend to disagree, I live in East Belmont which is a 30 minute commute (max) to Uptown, and the 3bd 2ba house right behind me just sold for $125,000. We are currently looking into Purchasing as we are renting right now and I have found plenty in the Belmont/Mt. Holly area in that price range.

Well, he did say within 20 minutes OR LESS so I thought that area might not be of interest to him. But you are right, Belmont and Mt. Holly are nice areas

TownHomes in places such as Tanners Creek in Huntersville will get you there. If you want to fix up and earn a big appreciation look around Washington heights etc. The next NoDa.
