Really you think so??? b/c I avoid Stonecrest and Arboretum at all costs. They are a nightmare just to get to the Target/Walmart. I can get in and out of the target in Blakeney and all the other shops in there...I love it!
I definitely agree, the arboretum is horrible no matter when u go, and stonecrest too I think is worse than blakeney..I dont find blakeney to be bad..oh and the Promanade on providence is getting bad too..no parking and people just dont stop..

Great posts!! I love it here. Would not live anywhere else. Why would you? In addition to what everyone has said, the area also has some of the best public schools in the city and very little crime.
Been living in this area for two years now and absolutely LOVE it. Great schools, great shopping, great resturants, great people. Was wondering if anyone else on this forum lives in this area and what they think of it?
I moved to the Blakeney area just 4 months ago and really really love it. Even after driving to other beautiful areas in Charlotte, Union County and Fort Mill, I have concluded that this is definitely my spot. We live off Ardrey Kell Road and can walk/bike to Blakeney, Cedar Walk, the YMCA and Ardrey Kell High - perfect fit for our lifestyle. My 14 year old can bike to school then to the Y or Blakeney with his friends (yeah, he has found friends!)
The icing on the cake is Lorenzo's in Cedar Walk - yummy!
Here's a link.......It looks pretty good however, I was hoping for a Cafe type place: SAS Cupcakes - Welcome I will definetly have to try the Red Velvets
