Do Any Homes/Apartments in Charlotte Use Gas Heat??? (live, storage)

I have been trying to sell my washer/dryer set, which is only 13 months old and has been sitting in storage for the past 6 months. However, it seems that everyone in Charlotte has electric heat and has no need for a gas dryer. Does anyone know of a community that utilizes gas heat? Or anyone who could use a really 'like new' set at a 'steal of a deal' for the holidays?

Actually, there are many homes that have gas heat & gas hot water. However, the builders did not continue the gas line to the laundry area nor the kitchen and those rooms are electric. I am told that this is because it is cheaper. Don't know....and, don't understand. I would love a gas dryer and gas stove, but, it is really expensive to run the gas line, so, I live with my electrics....

Hmmm Chicago... that IS odd! Coming from up north as well, I'm used to and very fond of gas as well, but I'll live.... Just surprised that there doesn't seem to be ANYONE who could use a practically brand new set...

GC - Thanks for the advice, but I've run an ad on CL 2x a month for the past 5 months with no luck. Everyone needs electric dryer.

Oh well, guess I'll just have to sell the washer & donate the dryer....
