I have been reading a lot of comments for the region of Charlotte but only a very few are addressing the retirement communities. My wife has been looking at the Sun City by Del Webb and I wonder if anyone would have any comments to share about that builder and the community itself. It seems that their price are reasonable, but on the other hand, the upgrades are inflating the price quite drastically. Originally, we were under the impression that the area was reasonable. However, we find that prices are not far from the Fairfax VA area. Where are we wrong? Thanks for youir comments.

There's a retirement community in Fort Mill that has reasonable prices. If you're interested send me a pm and I'll give you the details.

If you are handy, buy a base model and do the upgrades yourself. It would save you money on the home but also the improvements...
