I need help finding a tenant for my property, ours backed out at the last minute. The quicker, the better, the place is ready to rent now.

I have tried Craigslist and while I have had some interest, nothing has materialized.

I will keep it in mind. I don't have anyone right now, but I probably will in the spring. Of course, I hope you have it rented by then

Are you sure you have it priced right for the area? Craigslist usually gets good results.

I think so. We are asking 1200 per month. Everything else around us seems to be between 1100 and 1400. I offered a month of free rent (at the end of the lease) to 'entice' someone, but who knows. I will adjust accordingly if I need to.

The home is 2100 sq feet, 5 bedrooms, 2.5 baths on a cul-de-sac with a 1/3 acre fenced yard. I have had three lookers from Craigslist that seem really interested and than don't come through for one reason or another. We had a family come today, but I have not heard from them as to whether or not they really want the home and TBH I did not get the feeling they loved it when they were walking through.

I appreciate the responses. I am going to make some fliers tomorrow and distribute them around. I will also keep updating my ad on the Craigslist. Thanks so much for any and all advice!

The price sounds great for the size of the home! Is the home in good shape? Is there any one thing you can think of that might be scaring people away?
