I am interested in moving to Charlotte. I haven't earned my teaching license, and I would like to attend UNCC, but I know I would have to live in Charlotte for 1 year prior, so I's interested in working as a Teacher Assistant, since I don't think that with lateral entry I'd get work as a Social Studies Teacher. I'd like to know what qualifications I need to be hired as an Assistant Teacher. I know the job market is bad (from reading earlier posts) but if I could get any feedback on how that translates for T.A's. (are they getting cut like everyone else or would different school districts still hiring?)

Thank you in advance for any info provided.
