Hello,

I would like to know if anyone can give me any information on x-ray tech schools in NC , by the union county area. Are the x-ray techs called a different name in NC?

Thanks

Jersey, there are schools, none by union county that I know of though. However, I want to caution you against going to xray tech school. It's a great job IF you've already been doing it at least 5 years, but inexperienced techs just out of school are having a hard time finding jobs in this region - there appears to be a bit of a glut. Of course, the schools don't tell you that when you enroll, but I know quite a few techs who would warn you. If you are interested in furthering your education and preparing yourself for a career your two better shots would be in nursing or PT. Here is a website where you can see schools and locations: North Carolina Society of Radiologic Technologists, Inc.

Does anyone know if there is a discussion or forum for radio/x-ray technicians? I have looked but couldn't find one that has a lot of members or active discussions.
Thanks.
